FAIRTRADE DIRECTORIES
This year Faragher jones is publishing nine Fairtrade directories. Once again we couldn't have done it without the support of our advertisers and sponsors - in particular The Co-operative Retail. We're also very grateful to the Fairtrade Foundation for their continued support and encouragement.
We've already published the directories for Oxfordshire, Exeter, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Wrexham (our first dual-language), Southend and Watford and Three Rivers. In addition we've published our first ever 'Fair & Local' directory for Bath and North-East Somerset. The Fair & Local directory combines our Fairtrade ethics with our desire to support local producers as well. It's been so successful that we'll be offering it out to other networks in the future. You can download it here.
In June we'll be publishing the last of our directories for the year – for Hartlepool. Timed to coincide with the Tall Ships visiting Hartlepool, the aim is to reach a large tourist audience as well as the local population.
This year we'll also be publishing our first Fairtrade Purchasing Guide for the North-East as well as updating last year's guide for the South-West. The Fairtrade Purchasing Guide is aimed at businesses wishing to switch to Fairtrade and is a directory of wholesalers and importers. Last year's South-West guide can be downloaded here.
If you're interested in getting a Fairtrade or Fair & Local directory in your area next year contact Steve Faragher. And if you'd like to sponsor or advertise in one contact Claire Morgan. |

"We are very pleased with the directory and have had some good feedback. It's great to have something to give out that is so worthwhile."
Testimonial
Jenny Foster, Bristol Fairtrade Network
"The Directory has received nothing but praise and admiration from the Bristol Fairtrade Network, from contacts in Bristol and all round the country, including the Fairtrade Foundation. I have also had many people contact me through it, to get involved in Fairtrade." |
